Mr. Rufus Bennett, Jr., husband of Cheryl Dyson Bennett, was born on Tuesday,
May 23, 1978 in Manning, SC.  He was a son of  Willliemae Singleton Anderson and the
late Rufus Bennett. He was the step-son of Debbie W. Bennett.

   Rufus attended the public schools of Clarendon School District One.  He attended
South Carolina State University, Orangeburg, SC and he graduated from Lincoln
Technological Institute and Steam Fitters 602 in Landover, Maryland, where he studied and
obtained his  journeyman status in HVAC.
 Rufus obtained HVAC licenses in Maryland,
Virginia and Washington, DC.  He was employed at Densel Mechanical and Paramount
Mechanical and he was member of Local 602 Steamfitters Union.

   Rufus received Christ at an early age.  He was a member of Heart Changers Baptist
Church, Silver Springs, MD, under he leadership of his brother, Rev.  L.K. Floyd.

   Rufus was an avid  pool player.  He belonged to TAP Chesapeake Bay Pool League in
Crofton, MD.

 Rufus gained his wings and entered his resting place on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 in

   Rufus leaves to mourn his passing and grow from his memories: his loving wife, Cheryl
Dyson Bennett;  four sons, Justin, Jaivon, Jordan and Jonathan Bennett of the home; his
mother, Williemae Singleton Anderson of Silver Springs, MD;  eight sisters, Tamika (Jamil)  
Watt of Silver Spring, MD, Shameka Ragin of Atlanta, GA, Kandriqua (Shiree) Haley of
Columbia, SC; Tanisha Floyd, Amber Anderson, Nicole Anderson and Maya Anderson,
all of Silver Springs, MD and  Brianna Bennett of Columbia, SC;  fi
ve brothers, Rev. L. K.
Floyd, Jr. and Ethan Anderson, both of
Silver Spring, MD, Nickalaus Parker of Summerton,
SC, Jesse Bennett and Alex  Bennett, both of Columbia, SC, Godmother, Shirley Black,
God-sister, Tabitha Adams-Bass and a host of  aunts, uncles, cousins, other close relatives
and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home of his aunt, Betty Bennett, 4253 St. Paul Road,
Summerton, SC.
