In those first few hours…

One of the first phone calls you will need to make is to the funeral home you will entrust with the care of your loved
one.  The funeral director is an experience professional who can provide information and guidance.

Next, you should call or contact other family members, friends and spiritual advisors.
First Call to Funeral Home

The first call to the funeral home lets the funeral director know that a death has occurred.  While you may ask the
director questions at this time, you will be able to discuss the arrangements in detail later.  During the initial call, the
funeral arranger will gather information to be able to transport your loved one to the funeral home.  The funeral
arranger may ask for directions to your home, so that residence can be set up for friends to call.

arrangement process, explaining how you can create a memorable personal celebration of your loved one’s life.

date and time of services and events; selecting a casket, urn or other items; preparing an obituary notice; scheduling
