Mrs. Louise Livingston Walters was born on Friday, May 18, 1928 in Clarendon County to
the late Harry Livingston, Sr. and Sylian Green Livingston.
Louise attended the public schools of Clarendon County. She was a member of Greater St.
Phillip R.M.U.E. Church, where she was a member of the Missionary and Stewardess Board, along
with the Senior and Gospel Choirs.
She was united in Holy matrimony to the late John Walters. This union was blessed with nine
She was preceded in death by two sons, Harry Lee Walters and Joseph Walters, five
siblings, Charlie Livingston, Harry Livingston, Jr., Joseph Livingston, Mary Ann Lawson and Ruth
Milton and a grandson, Charon E. Walters.
Louise entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at McLeod Health -
Clarendon, Manning, SC.
She leaves to mourn her passing: five sons, John (Patricia) Walters of Brooklyn, New York,
James Walters of Summerton,SC, Willie E. (Josephine) Walters of Queens Village,NY, Emanuel L.
(Joanne) Walters of Brooklyn, New York,New York, and Cornell (Edna) Walters of Summerton,
SC; two daughters, Deloris Walters and Joanne Walters, both of Summerton, SC; a brother,
William Livingston; three children that she raised as her own, Cherry Davis, Jane Lawson and
Sheryl McCray; 17 grand-children, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; three
sisters-in-law, Dorothy W. Richardson, Odell Walters and Claudia Livingston and a host of other
close relatives and friends.
The family is receiving friends at the home, 1287 Rapid Edge Trail, (St. Paul Community)
