Minster Garry Conyers, son of the late Hannah Bell Pugh Conyers and Oliver Conyers and
step-son of Georgia Conyers was born in Clarendon County on November 20, 1967.

       He received his formal education in the public schools of Clarendon County.  In his youth,
he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and joined St.Mark Missionary Baptist Church, Silver,
SC.  He then joined Macedonia FBH Church, Silver Community.  The Lord led

back to St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church.  “Drego”, as he was affectionately
called was a loving son, father, brother, Uncle, cousin, brother-in-law and friend.  

      
Minister Garry Conyers was an entrepreneur of the Silver Community Retreat of Silver,
SC.  He loved fishing, spending quality time with his family and preaching and teaching the
Word of God to those he came in contact with.

      He was employed by the Clarendon County Sheriff’s Department as a dispatcher and
Correctional Officer.  He was a volunteer for the Clarendon County Fire Department.

was also a Notary Public.

      
Preceded in death by four sisters, Carrie Lee Wells, Thelma Ruth Crosby, Dorothy Ann
Huggins and Azalee Conyers, and one brother, Bill Morgan Conyers.  On Saturday, May 20,
2017, God Almighty called his servant,
Minister Garry Conyers to eternal rest at McLeod
Regional Center, Florence, South Carolina.

      He leaves to cherish his fond and precious mememories:  a daughter, Justic
e Nicole
Conyers and a step-son, LaQuan Gilliam; four sisters, Geneva Pugh, Katie Baxter, Bernice
(Steven) Spann
and Helen Conyers; two step-sisters, Melissa Dennis and Itrell Conyers;  two
brothers, James (Patricia) Conyers and James Lee Conyers; two special nieces,  Beverly
Cummings and Vanessa Taylor
, who were reared in the same home during their youth and a
host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

      The family is receiving friends at the home, 6135 Summerton Hwy. (Silver Community)
